We have a large section of books available for your perusal.  We have chapter books, picture books, and board books, so children of all ages can find something they would like to read.  Come in and see our selection!  Below is a sampling of different books we carry.

These leveled readers, including Frog and Toad are Friends are great books for beginning readers.  Different levels are available for children with different needs.
This book is about anthropomorphized letters, who climb up a coconut tree in alphabetical order, until the tree collapses. Capital letters (the older relatives of the letters climbing the tree) come to help them. Again alphabetically, it describes each letter's injury, such as "skinned-knee D". A fun way to teach the alphabet!
An old classic. Ivanhoe, written by Sir Walter Scott, is set in 12-century England, and is an example of historical fiction.  Ivanhoe is sometimes credited for increasing interest in Romanticism and Medievalism.

Little House on the Prairie is part of a set of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder telling of her adventures of life.  Told in third person, her books tell of moving cross-country in a covered wagon.  The individual books are available, as well as the set.
Three Cups of Tea describes the author's transition from a registered nurse and mountain-climber to a humanitarian committed to reducing poverty and promoting education for girls in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The author became co-founder of the Central Asia Institute (CAI), a non-profit group that, as of 2010, reports it has overseen the building over 171 schools. CAI reports that these schools provide education to over 64,000 children, including 54,000 girls, where few education opportunities existed before in the remote regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan.  We also have the picture book available.
14 Cows for America details how a young Kenyan boy returns to Kenya with news of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the United States.  His story prompts his villiage to send a heartfelt gift to America.  This book is great at opening doors to talking about giving to others.
A hilarious book, written by two 10 year old brothers who both hate reading.  Teachers love reading this book to their classes, especially if they have assigned a specific time frame for reading.
